The Q1 Challenge has arrived? Only now? No, not really. Notat all actually. I got around Christmas. I just haven't gotten round to postingit yet. I am already working on it though.
Just as I am working on:
* My recently started OU London studies in CognitivePsychology
* Upping the memory techniques and speed reading
* Founding my own company
* Thinking and setting up new services and products
* Seriously redoing the website. And I do mean seriously
* Finishing of dealing with the 2nd personal fear. More on thatlater.
* Doing quite a lot of fitness and health food thingies
* Doing a near full time job preparing our annual artistic roller skating gala.
* Doing my morning visualization exercises…
Oh yes, before I forget. And in between, I'm actually making a living. So there's quite a few thingson my plate at the moment. And as someone on Twitter said the other day: If youTwitter what you're doing, you're not actually doing it. The same goes forblogging about what it is I'm doing.
Still, here is the first challenge of the freshly startedyear of psychology:
"Write an article on the relation between socialinequality and creativity"
I know, you were expecting a little more excitement thanthat weren't you. Bear with me. This challenge was given to me by psychologistand NLP expert Lucas Derks. So why Lucas and why this seemingly drop-deadboring assignment?
Because Lucas has been passionate about social sciencessince the dawn of time and because he has devoted more that 15 years indeveloping the Social Panorama, which deals with a number of questions such as:
How do people perceive and experience others and themselvesbelow the threshold of awareness. What is the structure or the map of theirsocial world? Is there a map that we humans use to be able to find our wayamong people? And how can we use this construct to find out where we haveplaced our selves and how we can move from where we are to where we want to go?
See, this is a Connect to Anyone challenge. So thischallenge fits perfectly. It invites me to connect to Lucas' passion and it isabout connectedness on a whole new level for me. And if you're worried aboutthe fun factor, well, it's up to me to get a little creative with regards tothe format of my article.
I've been chewing on a number of angles and ideas and Imight just be on to something. As always, I will be happy to share the resultsat the end of this quarter.
