I somehow got it right. Ho about that?! I received the feedback and marks on my first Arts’ studies tutor marked assignment and I actually got it right. The assignment on Dr. Faustus was marked 72% and the one on a still life by Paul Cézanne was marked 75%. And yes, should you have any doubts, that does indeed calls for a little celebration. Nothing fancy, but a good, well-meant, wholeheartedly felt pat on the back. The same week, I received my certificate for the post-graduate course I did last year on Creativity, Innovation and Change in the mail. What an absolutely fabulous “Learn Anything” week.
To top it off, the changed diet and workout regime seems to be doing its job as well. I kept my weight, but was able to pinch yet another 1% off body fat off. And with spring just around the corner – the weather was terrible this week, but looks evenly promising the next few days – I’m actually starting to feel a shopping spree crawling up my spine. Hmm, I’d better not mention that to my darling wife. Any excuse will do for her. But still, nice results, nice feeling, good week.
Oh yes, before I forget. My mailbox almost flooded with tremendously nice, touching, funny, straight-to-the-point, bold and even downright arrogant replies after I had called on people to attend my upcoming De Bono certification course. The date is set. All that I have to do now is arbitrarily pick out a few “winners”. Oh well, that’s not the word I’m looking for, but I’m sure we are going to be one lively bunch on certification day.
It was a weird realization this weekend when I suddenly found myself only one week away from finishing “The Artist’s Way”. Has it been almost three months already? OMG! Why did I bother getting rid of the Christmas tree? At this rate, I’ll be putting it up again in no time anyway. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. Speaking of which. I’ve had a great time looking for that first artist who’s willing to…how shall I put it…make life a little more interesting come April.
I’m close to the deadline, but still confident the right assignment will be on my path when I’m ready for it. Looking forward to that.
