I know, I know, I haven't been posting for more than a week now. It's not because I'm not actively pinching ostriches, quite the contrary actually. The difficulty is to pinch and find the time to report on the pinching so that the actual pinching isn’t compromised…are you still with me?
I admit that week 6 wasn’t my most consistent until now, as the figures will show. It was also the week that I was on a scheduled break from doing fitness. I’ve been wondering whether being physically less active and having difficulty maintaining the rhythm in other areas of life are somehow entwined? It surely did feel that way.

I’m very happy my The Artist’s Way didn’t suffer from my relapse into procrastination. Because that is indeed what happened. And a good thing too because it gave me exactly what I needed to build on the coming months towards facing my first fear.
No, I’m not telling yet, but procrastination has been playing a vital roll in not facing what I’m about to deal with. And since all of us are bothered with procrastination at some point in our lives, I believe this to be a very relevant issue to tackle.
Meanwhile the search for the first artist to give me a “connect to anyone” assignment the end of March continues. I’m very surprised and excited about the people within my own friends’ and colleagues’ network. It’s amazing the people you have access to once you know who or what you are looking for. The potential interesting encounters with fascinating artists from al walks of life just seem to come out of the woodwork. I’m sure you too would be surprised with the people in your own network.
But what really made last week a far bigger success than the lack of consistency in Moleskine memoirs, dauntless daydream and question quest, would suggest is a very helpful Skype chat with Dr. David DeHaven…wait, I haven’t mentioned him yet, did I?
